Doctor. William Glatt and his wife, Florence Glatt, in an embrace

Dr. William Glatt and Florence Glatt

Dr. William Glatt was born and raised on the East Coast, spending most of his youth in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He attended Tufts University, where he had a “wonderful education and a wonderful time.” He attended medical school at the New York Medical College in New York City, completing his postgraduate training in Rochester, New York, and Cincinnati, Ohio.

He married Florence in 1963, while he was in medical school. By the time he completed his postgraduate education and two years of military service as a Public Health Service physician in Savannah Georgia, they had three young children. In the summer of 1970, the whole family began their cross-country journey from Savannah to Burlingame, California.

Married now for nearly 60 years, Dr. Glatt has seen his two sons become physicians, and they are in practice together at Glatt Medical in Burlingame. His daughter is a financial portfolio manager in New York City, and mother to two children approaching high school. Dr. Glatt also has two college-age grandchildren in Burlingame.
